As the president of the world Miracle Outreach Church, he stated God already knows the winner because, Kings and Leaders were enthroned by God, therefore as men of God, they must rise up to their responsibility to maintain their respect as spiritual gate-keepers of the land.

Speaking at the press conference in Accra yesterday, he urged that, predictions should be avoided in order to have a meaningful election devoid of political tension and unrest.

‘’As spiritual leaders, our core responsibility was to pray for our leaders and the nation, but not to predict elections result, that was the work of the Electoral Commissioner (EC), Mrs Charlotte Osei” he said.

Pray For EC

Mr Tetteh stressed that, Ghanaians and religious leaders should pray for the EC for the wisdom of God and directions to be fair and firm to all political parties as well as to pray for all the stakeholders that support the EC in discharging its duties; the EC staff, National Commission of Civic Education (NCCE), Security services and the society.

He pleaded that, the media who played a vital role in country, especially during election season should be responsible and unbiased in their reportage.

“Desist from getting drawn into the banter of politicians, safeguarding your esteemed profession and your love for the Ghana should be your guiding principle,” he added.

The Evangelist advised the media to ensure their gate-keeping role to get the right agenda for the nation to be united with message of hope and unity.

Walk the Talk

Mr Tetteh has appealed to the presidential candidate of various political parties to ensure they “walk the talk”, because the political leaders and citizenry speak about peace, but their actions clearly show that leaders do not “walk the talk”. “It is the collective responsibility of the people of Ghana to present a massive united front to promote peace and welfare of our beloved country,” he said.

He noted that, Ghanaians should cease to discredit the leaders of base on their past verbal abuse, use of intemperate language, character assassination, vain promises, violence and threats as well as their culture of insult, but have confident in them this time.

The Evangelist concluded that “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I forgive their sins, and would heal their land,” (2 Chronicles 7:14), and invited Ghanaian to gather at Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Accra for a three- day crusade to pray for Ghana.
