She described as exemplary, the huge investment made by the church in providing free education for hundreds of pupils in the Seventh Day Sabbath Academy and also providing support for some youth in tertiary institutions.

Mrs. Ayorkor Botchway was speaking after the inauguration of the Seventh Day Sabbath Church of Christ’s ultra-modern chapel at Anyaa in Accra. One unique feature about the ultra-modern building is that it was constructed mainly with locally manufactured materials and products.

The ceremony was on the theme “Givers Never Lack” and attended by people from all walks of life.

The Foreign Minister who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Anyaa-Sowutuom, said the decision by the church to focus its resources on the needy was not only Biblical; but also in tandem with the vision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He said the President believed that it was a sacred duty of the state to provide for the needy and also place them on a pedestal that would enable them to also come out of poverty and that one of such means was Free Senior High School Education.
