Ashaiman Police dispel false rumours of detention of two NDC activists
The Ashaiman Police command has denied that two activists of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been detained for allegedly roving around polling stations in the constituency asking voters to cast their ballot for President Mahama.

One of the activist identified as Adams Hlorvi, 36 and another were said to be in possession of a picture of President Mahama and used it to persuade voters to cast their ballots for him.
They were also said to have been picked up at the St Gina School complex at Ashaiman Newtown.
The incident attracted scores of residents to the police station.
The District Police Commander, Mr Seth Tay told the Graphic Online that no such case had been reported to his outfit.
He said the crowd that had earlier besieged the station were misinformed about the setting up of monitoring screens at the station by the Electoral Commision and officials of one of the telecommunication companies for the purposes of transmitting the results from the station which serves as a collation centre for the constituency.
According to him, a New Patroitic Party (NPP) activist, one Mr Thomas Adongo had raised a false alarm that stuffed ballot boxes had been smuggled to Commanders office to aid the NDC candidate to win the elections.
The allegations he said saw the NPP leaders in Ashaiman mobilising its members to besiege the station, demanding to be allowed to search the Commander's office.
DSP Tay explained that the leaders after having satisfied themselves dispersed the crowd.
He said an invitation has been extended to Mr Adongo to report to the station to help investigate the veracity of his claims.
