Mr Aryetey, who is also the Chairman of Garages Zone 31, a group of artisans in the Kumasi metropolis, told the Daily Graphic that artisans could participate in the one-district, one-factory policy to enable them to contribute their quota to national development.

He said currently, most artisans lacked space for operation and the capital to purchase the right equipment for their work.

However, he added that the association which comprised different artisans was prepared to partner the government for the implementation of the policy.

He noted that in his private capacity as the manager of Aryetey Alignment Services, he had been training over 25 apprentices and had been receiving students from the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) for practical attachment spanning three months per session.

According to him, with 25 years of experience in artisanship, he was endowed with the best strategies in leading members of the garages to partner the government to develop artisans for the rest of the country.
