Anwomaso palace initiates three projects

The Anwomaso Traditional Council, in collaboration with the government, is working to undertake three projects in the community to improve the living conditions of the people in the town.

The projects include the reconstruction of a bridge at Anwomaso that links the community to Domeabra, Apromase and Ejisu.

Also to be reconstructed is the Anwomaso market which has been in a bad shape for some time now.  The new state-of-the-art market that is to be built will have all the necessary facilities expected of a modern edifice.

There is an ongoing construction of a three-storey palace to replace the old one at Anwomaso.

Addressing the media after visiting the project sites, the Chief of Anwomaso, Nana Osei Boa III, stated that because the Oduom-Anwomaso road was a short route to Ejisu anytime there was congestion on the Kumasi-Accra highway, it had become necessary to repair the bridge at Anwomaso for the safety of vehicles that ply that stretch of the road.

For that reason, he said he had appealed to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) for support and added that reconstruction works on the Anwomaso market had been awarded to Jaborah Investment Limited.

Nana Boa said works on the new market were scheduled to begin immediately. Under the circumstances, he said traders in the market would be moved to a temporary location.

He added that Anwomaso “is proud to have a storey building as a palace” and called for support from all inhabitants of the town for the earmarked development projects.
