Akufo-Addo congratulates Justice Anin Yeboah on his election

President Akufo-Addo has commended Supreme Court Judge, Justice Anin Yeboah on his election as the chairman of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee.

Justice Anin Yeboah was voted for a four-year term at Thursday's congress of football's world governing body in Bahrain.

The President in a tweet described the former FIFA Ethics Committee member's elevation as, "Well Deserved!!".

Justice Anin Yeboah polled 98% of total votes cast and he will serve a four-year term effective immediately.

The Supreme Court Justice will be deputised by Paraguayan lawyer and University lecturer, Alejandro Piera.

He is among the favourites to replace current Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood who retires from the office on June 8, 2017.
