Afia Schwarzenegger’s husband to appear in court Monday
The husband of actress cum comedienne Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, aka Afia Schwarzenegger, was yesterday arrested by the Achimota Police Command for allegedly circulating nude pictures of his wife and another man on social media platforms.

In the said video, the husband, Lawrence Abrokwa, is seen allegedly threatening to pour acid on his wife and the man after he caught them in bed.
Abrokwa has been charged with three counts of assault, threat of harm and publication of obscene material.
After initial interrogations in the presence of his lawyer, Mr Maurice Ampaw, Abrokwa was granted bail.
Complaint
An Officer of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ms Sheilla Kessie Abayie-Buckman, confirmed to the Daily Graphic that on August 30, 2017, Abrokwa made a complaint at the Achimota Police Station that he found his wife in bed with another man.
Later on the same day, Valentina, she said, also lodged a complaint at the same police station that she had been assaulted and threatened by her husband.
She explained that initially, both complainants were treated as suspects, to allow the police to investigate their said claims.
“Initial investigations revealed that the earlier complaints from Mr Abrokwa were not a crime prescribed by law; however, our investigation revealed that the complaint made by Valentina warranted a case of assault and threat of harm.
“As part of our investigations, we contacted the husband to surrender his phone, which he has done. We are ready to prosecute him,” she said.

Lawyer’s reaction
Reacting to the development, Mr Ampaw said he was fully prepared to defend his client when the case was brought before court.
“The police are ready to prosecute, and my client is formally set to appear in court on Monday. We are, therefore, waiting for the court process to commence,” he said.
Commenting on the video, Mr Ampaw confirmed the said incident, but added that although his client invaded the privacy of his wife, there was substantial evidence which he would submit to the court in support of his client’s case.

In the video, Mr Abrokwa is seen entering the room with a substance he said was acid, threatening to pour it on his wife and partner.
Both stood up in shock with the man trying to cover his nakedness with a blanket.
Afia Schwarzenegger, who was seen in a headscarf and clothed in a white towel, was also seen trying to shield her nakedness from the camera.
The husband is heard reprimanding his wife for infidelity, while she is heard screaming and wailing uncontrollably.
