Adventists donate to Adoagyiri Health Centre

The Member of Parliament for the Adoagyiri Constituency, Nsawam, Mr Fred Amo Dompreh, has received a donation of hospital equipment from the Women’s Ministry wing of the Accra East District of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for the Adoagyiri  Zongo Community Health Centre at Nsawam.

The items worth GH¢11,000, included five hospital beds with mattresses, specialised wheelchairs, ward screens and curtains.

Mr Dompreh expressed his profound gratitude to the church for its compassionate care to the disadvantaged in the society spanning several years of its presence in the country, citing the Adventists Relief Agency (ADRA) among other NGOs and churches, for the excellent service and support. He also donated a 32” LG LCD TV to the centre and advised the centre to make good use of the donated items and ensure their safety and maintenance.

Presenting the items, the President of the South Ghana Union Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Pastor Dr Samuel Adama Larmie, explained that each year, the church held a camp meeting outside the city for spiritual revival of its members and to demonstrate their social responsibility to the community in which they held the camp meeting.

Mr Dompreh received the donation on behalf of the Ghana Health Service, in the company of Nana  Amoako Ampong and Nana Akrofie Agyekum (both Assemblymen), Mallam Jibril (a representative of Muslims in the Zongo Community), Mrs Charlotte Osei (Physician Assistant in charge of the facility), Lydia Obeng (Nursing Officer from District Health Directorate), Mr Damoah Appiah and staff of the facility.
