XAPSA rallies support for school project

The President of the Accra/Tema branch of the St Francis Xavier Junior Seminary Old Boys Association (XAPSA), Mr Henry Bukari, has launched an appeal for financial contributions from all old boys to complete a GH¢250,000 two-storey dormitory complex for the school.
The project, which forms part of XAPSA’s contribution to its alma mater, is to mark the golden jubilee celebration of the school in December, this year.

Mr Bukari, who made the appeal during an interview said, “our much-publicised dormitory project is going way beyond our wildest expectations. Indeed, the contractor has gone beyond the initial mobilisation paid to him and has even committed his own resources to bring the project to its present stage.”

He, therefore, appealed to the rest of Xavier past students to endeavour to pay their contributions.

“If you are a past student of Xavier and have benefited from a first class education from Xavier, and you fail to support Xavier in its time of need, nobody else will. Now is the time to honour your pledge. We cannot wait any further. We need your assistance, we need your assistance and we do need your assistance! Be a part of this historic moment, feel proud to have contributed to this project when the credit is finally given to all of us in XAPSA”.

The president also indicated that several business entities had expressed interest in Xavier and were willing to bring a smile to the faces of the students of Xavier during its time of need.

“We can also safely say that a successful insurance company in Ghana and a great friend and philanthropist of Xavier are soon to announce their partnership with Xavier,”  Mr Bukari said.

He said “the successful execution of the landmark dormitory project by old boys is intended to be part of the climax of the jubilee celebrations in December, this year and can be credited largely to a small number of past students who have committed substantial amounts of resources beyond their mandatory GH¢400.00 levy for the project to be completed in time for the celebrations”.
