The release of the withheld results is dependent on the conclusion of investigations into the cases of malpractices.

Provisional results

A statement signed and issued by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs of the council, Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, announced the release of provisional results of 128,707 candidates who sat for the exams.

The statement stated that the withheld results would be released as soon as the council concluded its investigations.

It said candidates could access their results online at www.waecgh.org

Beware of fraudsters

The council alerted the public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters who were contacting candidates with the promise of making their results better for a fee payable via mobile money transfer.

“Members of the public are assured that the council’s results database is well secured. As such, all forged results can be detected by the confirmation or verification system,” the statement assured.

The council advised institutions and organisations to confirm or verify results presented to them directly from their office or access the confirmation or verification service online at the WAEC website.
