Victory Presby School supports foster home

Members of the Welfare Committee and some pupils of the Victory Presby School at Frafraha in Accra have presented various items to the inmates of the Christ Faith Foster Home at Fafraha in Accra.

The items included bags of rice, cooking oil, toiletries, crates of egg, used clothing and footwear as well as toys and teddy bears worth over GH¢5,000.

The presentation was the school’s way of putting smiles on the faces of the inmates of the home.

The school also feted the inmates, and children in the two institutions had the chance to interact, play and eat together.

Purpose

Explaining the purpose of the donation, the chairman of the committee, Mr Richard Darko-Osei, said the school chose the Christ Faith Foster Home in line with what the early Christian Community did in the Bible, where those who had shared with those who did not have.

The Chairperson to the Outreach sub-Committee of the Welfare Committee, Mrs Ophelia Damptey Asare, told the inmates that God had a purpose for their lives and their stay in the foster home would not alter that purpose.

Appreciation

A Father in the home, Mr Abraham Danso, who jointly received the items with Mr Adu Amoako, also a Father and teacher in the home, expressed gratitude to the donors and assured them that the items would be used for the intended purpose.

Teachers of the Victory Presby School took turns to encourage the inmates to remain focused and trust in God, explaining that God had a purpose for them, so they needed to work hard to achieve their goals.
