The donation, according to the President of the Alumni Association, Dr Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, was the first since the formation of the association a year ago, adding that it was their responsibility to the university.

“We got a lot from the university; there is, therefore, the need to give back something in appreciation,” he said.

He assured the university that the alumni  would continue to assist in diverse ways to help teaching and learning.

Dr Mawutor stressed that in achieving this quest, a business incubation fund would soon be established to solicit funds from old students and stakeholders to help provide for the welfare of the university community.

He commended the management of the university for the facelift, which included the transformation of the institute into a fully fledged university, and added that the alumni was very proud of the achievement the university had chalked up.

The president of the alumni association advised students to desist from social vices to enable them to realise their dreams.

He urged management of the university to accept criticism and act on suggestions made for the improvement of the university.

Mr Joshua Alabi, the Vice Chancellor of the university, after receiving the items thanked the alumni association for contributing towards the wellbeing of the university. He said the projectors had come at a time that management was deliberating on purchasing enough for the growing number of students.

Mr Alabi assured members of the alumni that management had put measures in place to address challenges facing the university.
