Two organisations donate exercise books to schools
The Street Academy, in partnership with Outpouring to the Nations (OTTN), a non-governmental organisation, has presented 4,500 exercise books worth GH¢4000 to 300 school children in deprived areas in Accra, to help them prepare for school in the 2016/2017 academic year.

The children, who are pupils in primary schools and students in junior and senior high schools, received 15 books each.
Making the presentation, a Volunteer Managing Trustee of the OTTN, Dr Victoria Smith, said there was the need to support the children who would grow to become future leaders in the country.
Dr Smith, who is also a historian at the University of Ghana, said the presentation was the second by the OTTN, and promised that the organisation would continue to support the children with books to assist annually them in their studies.
She said the OTTN had also completed building a health facility for the Street Academy to take care of their children and would provide them with consumables every six months.
Also at the ceremony, the founder of the Victory International, Rev. Dr Ray Johnson, presented an amount of GH¢10,000 to the Street Academy to support the education of the children.
The Director of the academy thanked the two organisations for the gesture and said educating the less privileged children was a positive step to make them useful citizens and move them out of poverty.
