Two institutions affiliate with KNUST

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two tertiary institutions to grant them affiliation with the university.

They are the Fountainhead College, Tema and Princefield College, Adaklu, Ho. The affiliation agreements are for a period of four years and subject to renewal.  

The agreement enables Fountainhead College to run three programmes: BA Theology, BSc. Information Technology and BSc. Business Administration. Princefield College, is to run two programmes: BSc. Physician Assistantship and BSc. Nursing

The Vice Chancellor of the KNUST, Prof. W. O. Ellis, signed for the university, while Rev. Faithful Biney, President of the Fountainhead College and Dr Alex Nazzar, acting Vice President of the Princefield College, signed on behalf of their respective colleges.

Developing human resource

Speaking during the ceremony, Prof. Ellis re-emphasised the commitment and readiness of the KNUST to support and mentor well-established educational institutions in the training of human resource for development.

He said the signing of the MoU with KNUST would enable the university to assess and monitor the admission process of the colleges, and also offer ideas and exchange of programmes with the academic staff.

In their separate remarks, Rev. Biney and Dr Nazzar said their institutions would abide by the regulation and requirement of the KNUST, in line with its affiliation policy.
