Funding was provided by a deputy Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Mr Ben Dagadu, who was also an old pupil of the school, former First Lady, Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, the Ho West District Assembly and some members of the community.

The school block is fully furnished with desks, white boards, a projector, desktop computers and laptops, as well as printers.

Also inaugurated was a GH¢110,000 rain-harvesting facility with the capacity to hold 20,000 gallons of water.

Work is also ongoing for a toilet facility for the school.

Inaugurating the projects, Mr Dagadu paid glowing tribute to Mrs Mills for her contribution towards the construction of the school block and the other facilities, saying she responded promptly to appeals for assistance.

He said he  got involved in the project when some teachers of the school appealed for the construction of a classroom block in 2011 because the old structure could no longer support academic work.

Mr Dagadu, who was assisted by the Moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Rt Rev. Francis Amenu, to cut the tape, acknowledged the assistance provided by the district assembly and some members of the Tsyome Afedo community, and urged the pupils to take good care of the facilities.

Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Mr Francis Ganyaglo, some district chief executives and traditional rulers.
