Stage set for FOGET/GNAPS quiz final

Four schools have qualified for the grand finale of the 2017 Foundation for Generational Thinkers (FOGET) inter-school quiz competition for private basic schools.

They are Debest Academy, Favour Complex School, Sowah Boye Memorial School and Josephus Memorial School.

The first semi-final was contested by the SDA School, Sowah Boye Memorial School, Josephus Memorial School and  Lovia School.

Winners

At the end,  Sowah Boye Memorial School and Josephus Memorial School emerged winners with 54 and 47 points, respectively. SDA School and Lovia School had 44 and 36 points.

In the second semi-final, Debest Academy and Favour Complex School qualified with 45 and 40 points, respectively. The other two schools that contested are Lovely Kids School and Decent Learning Academy,which had 37 and 34 points.

Areas & prizes

The students were tested on Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and the Life and Legacy of Dr James Emmanuel Kwegyir Aggrey.

Prizes to be won at the final stage slated for June 28 at the Mamprobi E.P Church Hall include a set of flat screen desktop computer, laser jet printers, a LED flat screen television set, standing fans, educational materials, stationery and certificates.

Thirty-three basic schools began the competition.
