SHS students attend Science, Technology camp

THIS year's Science, Technology, Mathematics and Innovation Education (STMIE) camp for senior high schools (SHSs) in the country is underway at the Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO).

The one-week camp, which began on August 28 and ends on September 3, 2014, is on the theme: "National Progress through Gender, Science, Technology and Innovation Education".

This year's camp, which is the fifth since its inception in 2009,  is being attended by over 200 SHS students from the 10 regions in Ghana.

Addressing the ceremony, during which the Unilever Ghana Foundation presented a cheque for GH¢12,000 to support the camp, at a durbar held at the Tamale SHS, the Head of Science Education Unit (SEU) of the Ghana Education Service (GES),  Mrs Georgina Quaisie, advocated the finalisation of the Science Education Policy.
