Show interest in children’s work

Mr Alex Otoo-Asare Jnr, a member of the Parent-Teacher Association of the St Mark Preparatory/JHS at Mamprobi in Accra, has pointed out that the rate at which the world is developing without complementary education would deprive children of a better future.

He said, “Our children will not be the responsible adults we want them to be if we don’t show interest in their work.”

Mr Otoo-Asare said this at the 24th graduation ceremony of the school which was held recently.

It was on the theme: “Quality Education for Tomorrow’s Leaders.”

Mr Otoo-Asare, who chaired the occasion, entreated parents to support their children’s education to enable them to become responsible adults who would take care of the family and the society later.

According to Mr Otoo-Asare, “With quality education, a child can acquire whatever he or she wishes for himself/herself.”

The ceremony, which attracted parents and some former students of the school, was marked by the exhibition of various talents including drama and various dances.
