The event is being organised by the Insight Foundation Ghana (IFG) in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the United Nations Information Centre, Accra.

The Executive Director of IFG,Mr Andrews Dowuona said last year's event was highly successful.

“We are excited that the United Nations Information Centre, Accra, has partnered us once again,” Mr Dowuona said.

He said the main objective of the competition was to sensitise the public to the issue of gender, while helping female students to enhance their research and writing skills.

The top three winners of the competition would be presented with various prizes including books from the Ghana Book Trust and a certificate.
