Rotary Club Osu Oxford Street donates to schools

Members of the  Accra Rotary Club - Osu Oxford Street, have donated items made up of educational materials and confectionery worth GH¢25,000 to the Taneshie Junior High School at Osu.

The Vice-President of the Rotary Club of Accra, Osu Oxford Street Charter, Mr Dela Porbley, said the donation was made in line with one of the club’s interventions to support the development of education in the Osu community to improve teaching and learning.

The donation was made as part of the club’s core social responsibility of giving back to society, through individual contributions.   

He also said the Osu Oxford Street Charter of Rotary Club would later adopt the school as its primary project to provide some major interventions that could promote teaching and learning and inculcate good leadership  skills among the youth as the future leaders of this country. 

One of the headmasters of the Taneshie Junior High School, Mr Michael Odonkor, thanked the group for the gesture and hoped it would go a long way to assist the children in their studies.
