A Gbawe-based non-governmental organisation, Rock of Escape Foundation, has honoured Mrs Emenefa Acheampong, its co-founder and head of the RisingSun Montessori School at New Botianor for her sacrifices, determination and fortitude on which she has built an institution of enviable excellence.
The foundation was established by Mr Emmanuel Adjei Domson and the RisingSun Montessori School now has two major branches at Adenta and Lashibi.

In a citation, the Rock Escape Foundation commended Mrs Acheampong for her commitment, initiative and visionary-oriented leadership.

Mrs Acheampong gave a brief background of the RisingSun Montessori School and said they decided to establish the school at new Botianor because when they moved to the area, there was no good school in the new developing community.

She added that they were guided by such values as service excellence, efficiency and teamwork to produce the best results, respect for individuals and individual differences, vocational skills, professional growth and personal self-improvement, integrity in business practices, compassion for stakeholders and employing the right attitude to work.

Mrs Acheampong said the management of the school consistently focused on teacher supervision as much as student supervision.

She said management had always provided facilities that a modern school required for efficient and effective teaching and learning, training for teachers and encouraged professional development of staff.
