Without the slightest hint to the school, the year group made the chairs in Accra and transported them to the school at the weekend, much to the amazement of the school authorities.

Already the group had refurbished the hall with new floor tiles and other facilities at the cost of GH¢40,000.

Stunned by the gesture, the headmaster of the school, Dr Alexis Frimpong-Nimoh said “I am shocked because we were not aware of this presentation, we only knew that they were renovating the Burges Hall. The school is very grateful”.

He said the chairs would help the school to open up the place for social gathering and also prevent it from going out to rent chairs.

T Year Group
The leader of the group, Mr Stephen Antwi said the T Group decided to undertake the gesture as a means of giving back to the school, especially Burges Hall, which had fed, nurtured and educated them to their current positions in society.

He said his group had adopted the Burges Hall which was named after the first Headmaster of the school and would ensure that it was raised to become a centre of excellence where outsiders could rent for social gatherings and earn revenue for the school.

He explained that with the revenue, the school could maintain the facilities and use the remainder for other ventures.

Mr Antwi urged all old students to exhibit the morality and generosity tenets taught them at the school and support their alma mater.
