He said that vision had yielded positive results with two students graduating with First Class in the Three Year Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) 2011/2012 academic year, during the college's sixth congregation at Offinso.

The students are Ahiatsi Kofi Bright and Fosu Mozart, whose achievements have been described as unprecedented in the history of the college since the DBE programme was instituted.

He said Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was given greater attention in the college curriculum to equip the trainees with the necessary skills in computer literacy and appealed to corporate bodies, philanthropists and individuals to assist in that direction.

Mr Djangmah said a wall had been erected at the Ampabame and Amoawi sections of the college boundary, while an old generator had been refurbished. He added that the library had also been renovated into a modern facility with air-conditions and chairs.           .

The principal, however, spoke of the challenges facing the college which needed urgent attention and assistance, and mentioned inadequate staff accommodation and lack of infrastructure that restricted the college to admit 300 students although about 2,158 students had applied to the college for admission.

The Guest Speaker, Professor Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, Dean of Faculty of Education, University of Cape -Coast (UCC), noted that for any education system to flourish and achieve its goals, the role of teachers had to be paramount.

He described the in-in-out model as a positive step to link the colleges of education with the schools of attachment so that teachers on practicals would be monitored regularly.
