At the ceremony at Asawasi in the Asokore Mampong Municipality to open school, the MP charged teachers of the school to do their best to project it.

He said gone were the days when children in Zongo communities failed to enrol in school, and charged parents in the area to take advantage of the classroom block by enrolling their children in the school.

He advised both the proprietor, Mallam Yusif Alhassan, and the head teacher , Mr Hayford Asare Bediako, to collaborate with the Education Directorate of the Asokore Mampong Municipal to maintain the facility.

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Education Director, Mrs Grace Badu, emphasised that education was the best investment parents could make for their children.

He said attaining quality education was the collective responsibility of both teachers and parents.

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Nurudeen Hamidan, pledged the support of the assembly to the school and called on the authorities of the school not to relent in their efforts to work closely with the assembly on pressing problems.
