‘Maximise government’s interventions for quality education’

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwaebibirem in the Eastern Region, Mr Emmanuel Reginald Aboagye Osae, has advised students and pupils to make maximum use of various interventions put in place by the government to provide quality education in the country.
He said the government was determined to create the necessary environment for effective teaching and learning to enable the educational sector produce quality human resource for the country’s development.

Mr Osae gave the assurance when he visited selected primary schools in the district to welcome enrolled pupils who were attending school for the first time.

He said the government’s interventions such as the elimination of schools under trees, provision of free school uniforms, exercise books, laptops and the continuation of the school feeding programme, amply demonstrated the government’s commitment to the development of education.

The District Director of Education, Mr Godwin Addo, advised headteachers and teachers against lateness and absenteeism and urged them to work hard to complement the government’s efforts to ensure that the investment made in the education sector yielded the required results.
