It was in fulfilment of a promise made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the school during its 33rd anniversary and Second Speech and Prize-giving Day celebration held on Saturday, May 13 this year.

On that day, the Headmaster of the school, Mr Courage Meteku, made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Education to intervene in solving the many problems facing the school which included the lack of a bus and its high electricity bills.

Supervision

He also said it was only the headmaster who had an accommodation facility on the school compound, making it difficult for staff members to supervise the many students in the boarding house.

Reacting to the concerns raised, President Akufo-Addo was reported to have promised to deliver a bus and offset the huge electricity bills of the school, hence the delivery of the bus, which was handed over to the headmaster by the Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, at the forecourt of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Mr Maxwell Blagogee, the Volta Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Alex Buadi, staff of the regional co-ordinating council, and some party functionaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
