Lister Hospital supports Martey Tsuru School

The Lister Hospital and Fertility Centre has presented two water tanks to the Martey Tsuru Presbyterian School along the Spintex Road in Accra. The tanks are to help in the storage of potable water for the students and teachers of the school.

The tanks, laying of pipe lines and the mounting of a tap cost the hospital GH¢5,000.

At the presentation ceremony, the Director of the hospital, Mr David J. L. Pickering, expressed the hope that the availability of potable water would make teaching and learning a little more comfortable for the beneficiaries.

He, therefore, called on the pupils to study harder and achieve better results.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital, Dr Edem Hiadzi, said there had been a long relationship between the hospital and the community in which the school was located.

He said the presentation was part of the activities of giving back to the society, having held its first free medical screening in the area.

He urged the pupils to take good care of the facilities provided and also take their studies seriously.

The headmistress of the school, Mrs Janet Addo-Okyere, thanked the hospital for the facility.
