The projects include boys’ and girls’ dormitories, four staff bungalows, a dining hall with kitchen attached, an administration block and a two-storey classroom block.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Samuel Okyere, disclosed at a staff meeting with the Nkoranza South Municipal Director of Education, Mr Godfred Axolu, during his visit to the school.

He said the traditional authorities of the town had allocated about 62 acres for the school’s development, stressing that the board of governors and management of the school were doing everything possible to secure the land with the necessary documents to prevent encroachment.

He gave a brief history of the school, saying it was started as a community day school in 2007 by the people of the area, but was absorbed by the government into the public education system in 2012.

Mr Axolu stressed the need for the staff to work in unity and offer selfless and dedicated services for improved academic standards.

He also urged the students to be self-disciplined, obedient and respectful to their teachers to enhance teaching and learning.

The school currently has 350 students. — GNA
