KAAF to construct main lecture block

KAAF University College is to construct a four-storey block at Fete-Kakraba in  the Central Region at a cost of GH¢2.5 million to serve as the institution’s main lecture halls.

An agreement to that effect was signed by the management of the school, headed by the Rector, Dr Dennis Mike Obeng, and Yanjian Group Ghana Limited, a construction firm.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic after the signing of the agreement, Dr Obeng said the contract document would guide the construction of the project.

He said the school would also put up a central classroom block, offices, banking areas, hostel facilities, and bungalows for lecturers and a primary school for people who lived within the school’s environs.

Dr Obeng said the university stood for excellence in the areas of engineering, technology, and business and had plans of introducing programmes such as law, nursing and computer science.

“We are in the process of introducing about eight new programmes,” he added.

An engineer of Yanjian Group Ghana Limited, Mr Richard Lu, said the company was honoured to have had the opportunity to work with the university and added it would abide by the terms of the contract.
