John Moore supports needy students

The Tema Education Foundation has received a donation of GH¢4,000 from Jon Moore  Company Limited to enable the fund to support more needy, brilliant students.

The fund has catered for over 500 students, some of whom are in various tertiary institutions, while others have now completed.

The Chief Executive Officer of  the haulage company based in Tema, Mr John Mitchel, who made the presentation to the Paramount Chief of the Tema Traditional Area, Nii Dr Osongaa  Adjei Kraku ll, lauded the traditional council  for its foresight and initiative to support education. 

He said the company was committed to supporting the efforts of the council.

Mr Mitchel appealed to the people to take education seriously to enable them to benefit from the fund.

An elder of the Tema Traditional Council, Nii Ago Adjetey, on behalf of the council, expressed gratitude to the company and said “even though Tema has many companies, only few have responded to our calls for support.”

Nii Dr Kraku called on the  management of the company to continue their contributions to assist needy, brilliant students. 

The company, in addition to the cheque, presented other items, including drinks, to wish members of the Tema Traditional Council a prosperous new year.
