A very elated Headmaster of the school, Mr. Archibald Kobina Fuah said "Apam Senior High School affectionately called "Great APASS has come to the lime-light and rubbing shoulders with its peers. This is the time for the students to assert themselves to greater heights and affirm the school’s motto: Obra pa gya owura kwan, simply put character and efficiency."

"To the final year students, this achievement has motivated them to aim for better results in the upcoming final year examination and the junior classes; there is more interest in reading, essay writing and engaging in debates in academics and current affairs,” added Master Emmanuel Agyei-Poku, head boy's prefect.

Apam Senior High School was founded by the late Rev. J.W. De-Graft Johnson, who started the school in a cocoa shed at 'Apaa Paado' on February 13, 1953. The school, which has a long tradition of excellence in academics and sports, started as a Day Secondary School and moved to its present location 'MMOFRA MFA ADWEN' in 1960. The school's vision is to produce hardworking individuals who are of service to mankind and the Nation.
