This is being done as part of a strategic vision to assist train the required manpower to efficiently manage the nation’s resources, institutions and enterprises.

Prof Manu was speaking at a matriculation ceremony for 25 fresh students at its Kumasi Campus.

They would pursue four-year degree programmes in various fields of business.

The Rector pointed out that there could not be any meaningful socio-economic development without building the capacity of the people.

He gave the assurance that the Institute would continue to design demand-driven courses to appropriately respond to challenges facing the society.

There are also plans to build a permanent campus in Kumasi and that the budget for the project is ready.

Dr. Samuel Nii-Noi Ashong, a former Minister of State and Deputy Rector of GIMPA, advised the students to observe the school’s statutes, rules and regulations.

He said being a centre of excellence it would never compromise on the high standards it had set for itself.
