The Minister in charge of the Darkuman Official Town congregation of the Church of Christ, Evangelist David Amoateng, made the call when the Men’s Fellowship, supported by the women congregation of the church, donated assorted items to the pupils of the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra.

The items, worth GH¢3,500, included bags of rice, sugar, milk and toiletries.

Evangelist Amoateng said many handicapped children were being neglected by their families and relatives in the country.

He said such children needed love and support to also feel they are a part of the society.

Therefore, Evangelist Amoateng said the decision of the church to come to the aid of the pupils of the special school was to bring smiles to their faces.

He said the gesture was also a way of sharing the love of God with the children.

The Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr Fred Tettey, thanked the church for the gesture and asked other corporate bodies to come to the aid of the children.
