Edusei Foundation donates to education fund

The Edusei Foundation, a non-govermental organisation (NGO), has donated GH¢50,000 as seed money to the Western Nananom Education Fund (WeNEF).

The fund, established by the Western Regional House of Chiefs, is to support needy, brilliant students.

Other donations

Already, the foundation has made similar donations to a number of institutions across the country, including the Catholic Fathers’s Children’s Home in Takoradi, Missionaries of Charity Home at Mbrom in Kumasi, Osu Children’s Home in Accra, and the Tamale Children’s Home.

Goal of foundation

Making the presentation, Mr Lawrence Bruce-Kyei, the co-ordinator of the foundation, explained that his outfit sought to use learning centres, workshops, donations and seminars to provide services geared towards educating and uplifting beneficiaries of the fund to achieve their full potential as positive thinking and assertive citizens.                       

Appreciation

The Vice-President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Kwasi Agyeman IX, who is also the Paramount Chief of the Lower Discove Traditional Area, on behalf of Nananom, expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to the benefactors for their desire to  support the education of children in the region in particular as well as other charity activities throughout the country.
