The event, which is organised and promoted by the Digital Education Group (DEG), in partnership with its international and local partners, is on the theme:  ‘Creating Competitive Advantage in Education’.

According to the organisers, this year’s event , which is in its 11th year, will focus on contemporary topics such as competitive advantage through branding, financing school projects and buses, being abreast of technology, instructional strategy, promoting schools on the country’s only schools search engine—Easyschoolfind, among others.

High profile speakers expected at the event include Mr George Sackey, CEO of Digital Education Group; Mr Patrick Otieku Boadu, the President of Spearhead Consult and Mr Eric Dwamena, the CEO of Centre of Academic Excellence in the United Kingdom.

The summit would also feature an ‘EDUFAIR’ — an exhibition platform aimed at showcasing a wide variety of discounted products and services for schools, including school stationery, educational toys, CDs & DVDs, creative arts and craft products, textbooks and workbooks for both Ghanaian and British curriculum and school  furniture.

A statement from the organisers quoted Mr Sackey as saying that the programme would provide the platform for educators to network and share best practices in education.

“It is also an opportunity to appreciate the effective use of cutting-edge technology to enhance teaching and learning in our schools, he said.
