DE Youngsters International donates to Dzorwulu Special School

DE Youngsters International School in Accra donated assorted items worth GH¢15,000 to students of the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra on Thursday.

The items included bags of rice, bags of maize, cooking oil, toiletries, cowbell products, bags of gari and nestle products. 

Making the presentation, the Deputy Director of De Youngsters International School, Mrs Wendy De Youngster-Bastine, said for 20 years the school had been committed to the welfare of the disabled in the society. 

She commended teachers of the Dzorwulu Special School for exhibiting dedication and passion towards the welfare of the students. 

The Assistant Head of the school, Mr Frederick Tetteh, charged parents to  not abandon their children with disabilities but rather enrol them in special schools with trained teachers to see to their special needs.

“With education they can live independent lives in society and contribute their quota to the development of the nation,” he said. 

Mr Tetteh called on other corporate bodies and individuals to come to their aid. 

The school prefect of the Dzorwulu Special School, Master Isaac Okyere, expressed gratitude to the De Youngsters School for its kind gesture.
