Presenting certificates to the awardees at an awards night in Accra on Wednesday, a special guest, Dr Felix Semavor, lauded them for their good performance and encouraged them to effectively contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of the country.
Business strategies
In his remarks, a former senior partner at KPMG, Mr Joseph Wilson, urged accountants to discover new business strategies that would help them in their field of work, as well as assist the people in the public sector.
He advised them to become more innovative by thinking outside the box.
He added that accountants must communicate effectively with their clients for better understanding.
The immediate past chair of CIMA Ghana, Mr Stephen Asare, advised them to be transparent and accountable, stressing that, ”Every resource used must be accounted for because they have been entrusted to you and that trust must not be broken.”
CIMA Ghana was also awarded by its South African counterpart (CIMA South African) for scoring the highest mark of 94 per cent during an examination they wrote during the early part of the year.
