The programme which is aimed at training graduates in career prospects and entrepreneurship skills to help in creating jobs was launched at an entrepreneurship forum, dubbed the “Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship.”

The forum attracted 284 participants, including entrepreneurs, diplomats, investors and key players of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, who brought to bear their entrepreneurship experiences and discussed entrepreneurship in Ghana.

It was organised in partnership with the ALTIS, Postgraduate School of Business and Society of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, Italy, and the Royal Bank.

Patronage

Speaking at the forum, a lecturer of the ALTIS Graduate School of Business and Society, Dr Fabio Petroni, said all the students who patronised the programme in the first and second editions were able to establish their own businesses and made significant advancement, adding that “60 per cent of the alumni who did not have any business before joining the MBA have all started new businesses.”

Dr Petroni recommended the MBA programme to students, saying it was a unique platform to start or scale-up a business and therefore urged interested people to join the 3rd edition of the programme on October 24, 2015.

Hire right partners

The Chief Executive Officer of Charterhouse Productions, Mr Philip Ayesu, who shared 15 steps to his success with other entrepreneurs and participants at the launch, encouraged participants to partner or hire the right people who would not care about those who would take the credit for operational successes.

He said entrepreneurs should not forget to document their ideas and business plans, adding that, that would protect their innovative ideas from being plagiarised.

Royal Bank support

For his part, the Senior Vice President in charge of Business Development of the Royal Bank, Mr Kwame Annoh, who was also a mentor of the MBA programme said, the bank would continue to support the mentoring programme of the MBA with seasoned mentors.

“The Royal Bank will not hesitate to support entrepreneurial ideas which will be economically viable and beneficial to the bank, the country and the entrepreneur in particular,” he added.
