Central University to run Bachelor of Law

The Central University College (CUC) has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board (NAB) to run a Bachelor of Law (LLB) programme.

The accreditation paves the way for the admission of students interested in studying the degree programme for this academic year.

The President of the CUC, Prof. Kwesi Yankah, told the Daily Graphic that the admission processes would comprise the filling and submission of application forms, an examination and interview for successful shortlisted candidates.

He said eligibility requirements for those who would want to apply would soon be advertised in the newspapers.

Prof. Yankah said there would be three streams for the programme.

The first would cater for senior high school graduates, while the second would be for those who already had a first degree.

The third stream would be the evening school for those who would find it convenient to attend.

He said the courses would be run at the Mitso Campus of the CUC. However, a site would soon be announced within the city for the evening programmes for the convenience of students.

The addition of the LLB programme, Prof Yankah said, was for the university to diversify the scope of courses being offered and also to meet the need for the huge demand for legal training in the country.
