The homecoming will also be used to rally support for the school and interact with the student population to encourage them.

A statement issued by the alumni in Accra announced plans to host a homecoming event for past students, teaching and support staff on to discuss plans to and support for the school after 40 years of its existence.

The statement signed by Mr. Eugene Nartey, an old student said the event dubbed “Inaugural Alumni Homecoming Fun-Fair” would be held on the school premises in Laterbiokorshie.

He reminded all past students how important it is for them to contribute towards efforts to make their alma mater a greater school.

The gathering, he said “would offer the opportunity to all past staff and students from the 70s, 80s and 90s to come together to support our Alma matter as the school prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary”.

“Many of us have not been in touch with the school in excess of 20 years and it will be a great way to start the festive season as we connect with our BBS family and relive the fond memories we have of our great school,” he said.

He said prior to the call for convergence of students for the 40th anniversary, it had created very interactive social media networks on Facebook about the Bishop Bowers School Homecoming Fair.
