Be-Light International School gets Junior Graphic Fan Club

The Zonal Manager in charge of the Tema Region of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), Mrs Eugenia MacCready, has inaugurated the Be-Light International School Junior Graphic Fan Club near Michel Camp, Tema.

Mrs MacCready, who also swore into office the club’s five-member executive to direct the affairs of the club, advised the members to take advantage of their membership of the club to improve on their written and spoken English by regularly contributing articles to the Junior Graphic newspaper.

She said the Junior Graphic had been highly subsidised by the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), publishers of the paper, so that children could patronise it.

Mrs MacCready urged the schoolchildren to buy copies of the paper every Wednesday to get additional knowledge. 

The Headteacher of the Be-light International School, Mr Emmanuel Eshun, commended the management of GCGL for providing the youth of Ghana with a paper which has contributed immensely to the academic life of the pupils.

Mr Eshun recounted the school’s relationship with the paper, saying the school placed fourth and fifth in the 2013 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition  adding that the  students were among the top 10 winners  while the school was one of those which had  the highest entries in the Samsung /Junior Graphic Xmas Promotion held last December.

The club’s executive members are Francisca Dodzi Benson, the President; Alfred Barasu, the Vice President; Francisca Tetteh, the Secretary; Emmanuel Acquah, the Organiser and Esther Nyarko, the Assistant Organiser.
