The initiative was to make the students aware of the school’s rules and regulations as well as provide the platform for the new students to interact with the school authorities.

The Second Assistant Head teacher of the school, Mr Isaac Bondzie, told the students that in JHS they would study nine subjects, which demanded hard work and equal attention for all subjects.

“Once you have left the primary school and are in the junior high school, everything about you should change. Here, you have to be serious because the level is higher,” he said.

Mr Bondzie said the students should not allow the negative influence of others affect them, adding that they should be disciplined, punctual and attend school regularly.

Mr Bondzie cautioned the students against stealing and fighting since those acts could lead to their dismissal from the school.

“You must also read the Junior Graphic from cover to cover to improve on your English, build your vocabulary and learn other new things from the paper,” he said.
