Asogli Education Fund assists 39 students

The Asogli Education Fund has granted scholarships totalling GH¢16,560 to 39 brilliant needy students in the Ho Municipality to help sponsor their education in various institutions in the country.

Beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme were made up of 26 males and 13 females, with 21 students in senior high schools and technical institutions, while 18 of them were from universities and polytechnics. 

So far, 400 beneficiaries of the fund have completed their courses at various institutions with some of them in China, Germany and the United States of America (USA).

According to a press release signed by the Secretary to the Asogli State, Mr John Kukah, the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, told the beneficiaries to justify the investment made in their education by studying hard to attain good results.

Togbe Afede appealed to parents, guardians, philanthropists, benevolent organisations, businesses, churches, chiefs and individuals both home and abroad to help sustain the fund by voluntarily and generously donating to it.

This, he said, would help cater for a larger number of students and will also facilitate the early attainment of the objective of the fund,which is to raise the standard of education in the traditional area and the Volta Region as a whole.
