Speaking during the health talk, Mr Michael Adarkwah, Biomedical Scientist of the Ashanti Regional Blood Bank, said students had a major role to play to support the healthcare delivery in the country by committing themselves to regular blood donation to hospitals to save lives.

He said “blood is life and, therefore, there is a need for Ghanaians and students in the country to partner the health institutions and other development partners to promote quality healthcare service in the country”.

Mr Yaw Adu Gyamfi Sarpong, the headmaster of the school, said the students of the school had over the years contributed towards the improvement and quality health care in the region through regular blood donation to the health institutions in the region.

He said the objective was to support the health institutions in the region to save lives, as well as improve upon quality healthcare service and promised regular exercise to save lives.
