The schools are: St Innocent Basic School at Oduman; Good Shepherd Basic School, Boiko; St Joseph A/B Primary, Kaneshie; Bishop Mixed Primary School, Accra Central, and the Sacred Heart Basic School, Amasaman.

Improve infrastructure

Briefing the media after the presentation, the Greater Accra Regional Manager of Anglican Schools, Mr Alfred Adjirackor, said the presentation was meant to enhance academic work, especially at the basic level, adding that more schools would benefit from the initiative.

According to Mr Adjirackor, plans were underway to purchase educational materials for most deprived schools in the region, so he called on corporate bodies and non-governmental organisations  to come on board.

Mr Adjirackor discouraged churches from using classrooms as their place of worship, noting that the act contributed to the breaking of furniture in the schools.

Anglican Bishop of Accra

The Anglican Bishop of Accra, Bishop Daniel Silvanus Mensah Tortor, who prayed before the presentation was made, charged headteachers of the beneficiary schools to do their best to keep them safe.
