Amanakpo chief appeals for support for local primary school

The Chief of Amanakpo in the Ningo-Prampram District in the Greater Accra Region, Nene Tawiah Sodjah, has appealed to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to provide the Amanakpo State Primary School with basic facilities for quality education delivery.

Nene Sodjah, a farmer and a philanthropist, said he built the school and handed it over to GES to manage because of the value he placed on education and development.
The chief also called on the government and the GES to speed up the construction of a six-unit classroom block for the school and also assist them with teachers' bungalows, library and computers.

Madam Margaret Okai, Deputy Director in-charge of Basic Education at the GES and leader of the team of education directors who visited the school, thanked the chief and assured him of the willingness of the GES to partner stakeholders to provide good education to children.
