Ahafo Ano South-East MP donates to schools

The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South-East, Mr Francis Manu-Adabor, has presented five packets of roofing sheets to support a building project of the Pokukrom Ibrahimia Islamic Basic School.

The two-classroom block, when completed, would be used by the kindergarten (KG) unit of the school.

At a presentation ceremony, the MP said he deemed it necessary to use part of his Common Fund to support education, since it was the bedrock of national development.

He said Ahafo Ano South-East was one of the deprived districts in the Ashanti Region and improving the living conditions of his constituents was dear to his heart.

He asked authorities of the school to use the roofing sheets for the intended purpose, and pledged further to see to the completion of the building.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Fauzia Iddriss, who received the roofing sheets on behalf of the school, expressed gratitude to the MP, and appealed for continued support for the school.

In a related development, the MP also presented three packets of roofing sheets to the Amoakokrom District Assembly (DA) Junior High School (JHS), 30 bags of cement to the Nsuta Roman Catholic (RC) Basic School and 30 bags of cement and five packets of roofing sheets to the Asudei Islamic Basic School.
