Afram Publications holds reading clinic

The third Reading Clinic organised by Afram Publications has ended in Accra with a call on parents and teachers to encourage children to develop the habit of reading.

An author and one of the facilitators at the event, Dr Christine Lokko-Richter,  made the call and said apart from building their vocabulary, reading also encouraged children to develop self–confidence, adding that “by learning how to read at an early age, children learn how to make more sense of the world around them.”

Story time with Afram

The event, dubbed “Story Time with Afram,” was held during the 13th Ghana International Book Fair and was attended by pupils from selected public and private schools in the Greater Accra Region.

The schools were Glorious Shining Star International School, Abofu Presbyterian Junior High School (JHS),  Martyrs of Uganda Basic School and Confidence Academy.
