The school competed with Prempeh College and St Thomas Aquinas in the grand finale but came third in the national quiz.

In a press statement issued and signed by the President of AOBA-NA, Mr Aaron Aboagye, expressed the association’s gratitude to the contestants for representing the school in the NSMQ.

"The Adisadel Old Boys Association, North America (AOBA-NA) wishes to congratulate our National Maths and Science Quiz team led by Edward DeGraft Vanderpuije Quansah and Sylvanus Afful Assan-Annobil for their performance in the just ended national maths and science quiz in Ghana”.

According to him, although the school did not win the ultimate, many people are talking about Adisco than the school that won the trophy.

He said in spite of the school’s inability to retain the trophy for the second time, the students did well by reaching the grand finale.

“Adisadel is trending more on social media than even the school with the trophy because of your resilience. Thank you, we are proud to call you fellow santaclausians”, he said.

He added that “the Adisadel NSMQ team is certainly pacesetters in academic knowledge that the entire student body should emulate”.

Mr Aboagye, who is a partner at McKinsey & Company, a worldwide management consulting firm  said coming third in a national competition for all Senior High Schools in Ghana was not a mean achievement and therefore the contestants deserved to be commended.

He also congratulated the science and maths teachers in the school, the headmaster, staff and all the entire students’ populace for their support for the contestants.
