33 Graduate in health record management
Thirty-three graduates have passed out from the Department of Allied Health Science of the Yeshua Institute of Technology in Accra with certificates in professional health Record Management.

They included 25 females and eight males.
The professional programme in health record management is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the graduates in their field of work.
Health professionals and practitioners have bemoaned the lack of professionalism associated with record keeping in hospitals and other health facilities.
This negatively affects the work of doctors and nurses difficult, and the patients as well.
Poor record keeping
Speaking at the second graduation ceremony of the institute, the General Overseer of Revival Outreach church, Rev. Ekow Eshun, who delivered the keynote address emphasised the need to invest adequate resources in the training of personnel in medical records keeping and archiving of files and folders in hospitals.
He congratulated the graduating class and challenged them to help transform Ghana’s health sector with the knowledge they have acquired.
The President of Yeshua Institute of Technology, Rev. Dr. Charles Owiredu decried the poor record keeping habit of Africans in general and Ghanaians in particular.
He said it was sad that many Ghanaians do not value the keeping of records or information concerning their lives.
Rev. Dr. Owiredu said proper keeping of records, in either electronic or manual form, has contributed greatly to the development of advanced economies and urged the graduands to uphold the values of good record keeping in all their
